Utsunomiya English Chat Club meets on the 31st of October from 14:00 to 16:00 at the second floor of TIA, and is admission free.

The activity we do in this meeting will be…

◆ Call my bluff

This is an activity that invents meanings for unusual English words to try and deceive other people.

Find a very difficult word from your dictionary, and come up with two false and one decent definition. One attendee explains all three definitions, and the others guesses which definition is true. And take turns.

*Please bring your dictionary for this activity (paper dictionary would be recommended)

◆ Innovation & Invention

Talk about great inventions such as chopsticks and umbrella. What is so amazing about these inventions? How important they are in modern society?
